MKV GTI Build Update: It’s tuff to roll tuff…

Just when I got super excited to finally mount my new wheel set up... disappointment came crashing down on me...

Things didn't go according to calculations.. the tire came waaaay too close to the rear quarter panel..

I did manage to get a little more clearance by spending most of my night pulling all 4 corners a little further out.. but it still rubs like CRAZY!! even just driving in a straight line..

As bad as it sounds though.. I don't think much paint is rubbing off... thank goodness..

Also doesn't help that it has been getting dark very early and raining all daaaaay long here in Portland.. but I did manage to go out in the pouring rain to snap a few pictures..

This set up does achieve that "meaty tire" aggressive look I was going for, but I don't know.. not really in the mood to deal with it right now... I just want to stare at the car and enjoy it for now..
